So .. when you finished Annie Proulx's "The Shipping News" or David Guterson's "East of the Mountains" or Charles Frazier's "Cold Mountain" did you long for another book of that quality level ?  But could you find one, or did you do what I do and fall back to picking the latest from the New York Times Best Seller list, or maybe whatever bookseller.com is hawking this week? Where does one go for suggestions of good books such as these? Maybe you belong to a local book club and are satisfied with what you learn there. Well, I think I have a better idea.

Enter ... ReadersOpinions ..... an interactive website for avid readers. This is a site where members can get tips on good books to read, rate the books they have read, and keep a record of them in the site database ([click here] for a sample of entries).  The intent is to provide a public book club where participants "share and compare" their reading with others. Where better to learn of good books than from other readers such as yourselves? And why limit yourself to your neighborhood or your local circle of friends when the internet gives us the widest possible exposure to others' opinions? 

Please consider joining ReadersOpinions.com and build your own library of the books you have read. A database containing all titles is available to all members ([ click here] ), while maintaining individual control over personal content via login.  The member login is in fact required for entry/edit of titles, specific member reporting, use of a personal Plan-To-Read list, and display of all reviews. Some current options are shown on the menu at the left side of your screen. Take the site Tour to see firsthand what the features and screens look like, and how to join.

And .. it is free . No strings attached (except your time to enter titles with ratings and  brief reviews). There is some advertising on the site, to defray the costs of development and maintenance, and we do encourage you to "click through" to these sponsors. In addition, donations are now accepted.
